Alliance of Canadian Dietetic Regulators
The Alliance of Canadian Dietetic Regulatory Bodies is a national organization composed of ten equal and independent members who represent the provincial dietetic regulatory authorities. Representatives are Registrars or Chairs of the provincial Board or Council. Visit the Alliance website at www.dieteticregulation.ca. The purpose of the organization is to:

Share information and perspectives.

Undertake initiatives to advance dietetic regulation in Canada.

Develop and implement competency based assessments for registration.

Maintain and administer the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination (CDRE).

Facilitate labour mobility through the Labour Mobility Framework.

Act as the contact point for external groups on matters related to the regulation of dietitians in Canada.
NEW: Alliance Policy Template on Electronic Dietetic Practice. Note: the policy template on Electronic Dietetic Practice has been adapted and approved in some provinces, but is currently not approved in British Columbia.
Alliance members last met in-person in Halifax October 24-26, 2011. The following items were discussed:

Alliance members meet monthly by teleconference. The next in-person meetings are scheduled for May/June 2012 in Ottawa and October 2012 in Winnipeg.
