College of Dietitians of British Columbia

The College of Dietitians of British Columbia was established on November 2, 2002 under the Health Professions Act through enactment of the Dietitians Regulation. Bylaws for the College were approved by the provincial government on December 11, 2003 and on April 1, 2004 the College became the legal authority for the regulation of dietitians in British Columbia.

The College's Mission Statement is: Under the provisions of the Health Professions Act, the mission of the College of Dietitians of British Columbia is to ensure protection of the public by establishing, monitoring and enforcing competent, safe and ethical dietetic practice.

2008/2009 Late Registration and Profile Updates 
In accordance with the bylaws, late registration renewal is available until September 30. Registrants are asked to update their profile whenever their home or workplace information changes.

The Quality Assurance Committee and Board listened to you!  Revisions to the 2007/08 CCP have been approved. Updated documents for registrants reporting in 2008/09 (2009 Group) are now available on the website.

Province-wide Scope of Practice Liaison Sessions 
The Registrar is meeting with practicing Dietitians, administrators, educators and other regulatory colleges during the summer to obtain information on workplace scope of practice challenges and provide an update on CDBC initiatives.  Would you like to host a session in your community?
